摘要
Nutrition directly influences the physical, intellectual, and emotional development of children. The present work aims to establish the importance of the inclusion of Nutrition as a subject in the curriculum of Initial Education. The methodology is part of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Its development is carried out as a documentary-type investigation. The search for information is based on scientific and academic resources of high recognition and impact among fundamental analyses. In addition to the bibliographical review that supports the development of the present study, the study of the curricula of 23 Ecuadorian Universities that have the academic offer of Initial Education was carried out, finding that only 9 of them have Nutrition as part of the curricula. Among them are State Universities. In conclusion and based on the scientific support about the importance of Nutrition, mainly in the first five years of life, it should be included as a subject in the training of professionals in Initial Education.
