摘要
The reservoir Wiehltalsperre is operated by the Aggerverband and serves mainly water supply purposes. However, additional purposes such as flood control and minimum flow requirements downstream must also be covered. To achieve this, the reservoir is operated using a complex pool-based plan that was optimized for defined objectives on the basis of long-term climate records. In order to be able to optimally operate the reservoir even under changing climate conditions, we develop and optimize an additional pool-based plan for dry periods. A decisive factor is determining a suitable rule for switching to the dry operation plan and the establishment of quotas for water supply withdrawals. © 2023, Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature.
