Output voltage improvement of fuel cell electric vehicles based on a novel high step-up DC-DC converter

摘要
A significant challenge in front of big automotive companies is the use of renewable energy resources, such as fuel cells, to supply electric vehicles (EVs). Generally, dc-dc converters are used to match the energy levels of fuel cells and EVs, so considering the specifications of fuel cells and EVs is of great importance. In the present study, a novel design is proposed for non-isolated unidirectional dc-dc boost converters to improve their efficiency, input ripple current, semiconductor stress, and conversion rate. In the present study, the proposed converter is analyzed in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and continuous conduction mode (CCM), and the critical mode is determined. Then, a comparison is made between the proposed converter and some other designs in the literature. The values of capacitance and inductance are determined to obtain the relationships between loss and efficiency. The experimental results indicate that the theoretical basis is accurate with 94.5 % efficiency.
