摘要
This paper investigates the relationship between the effectiveness of marine biological resources and economic complexity, with a focus on promoting a sustainable blue economy. European countries' marine biological resources are evaluated using multiple indicators, including the economic value generated by activities like capture fisheries, shellfish aquaculture, freshwater aquaculture, and marine aquaculture. By employing various statistical methods, we demonstrate how higher levels of economic intricacy contribute to the sustainable growth of the blue economy in Europe from 2009 to 2020. However, the full impact of this influence may become more apparent over a longer time frame. In particular, the influence of digitalization on different aspects of marine biological assets is statistically significant over this extended period. Additionally, we explore how economic complexity affects the quality of marine biological resources and the reliability of oceanic energy, although comparable evidence for marine minerals' quality remains limited.
