摘要
A study involving analysis of raw milk samples naturally contaminated by Clostridium spores was organised and the analytical performance of AmpMedia 666 broth was evaluated in comparison with the conventional MPN method based on the use of reinforced clostridial medium (RCM) broth. The selec-tivity of RCM medium in detecting Clostridium after 2 days, 5 days and 7 days of incubation at 37 degrees C was 88%, 78% and 65%, respectively, while the selectivity of AmpMedia 666 was 96%. Most of the colonies not belonging to the genus Clostridium were assigned to the spore forming genera Bacillus, Virgibacillus and Rummeliibacillus.(c) 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
