摘要
Objective: This study aims the investigation of the relationship between risk management and the success of projects managed by agile approaches, supporting the analysis of gaps identified in the literature, regarding the incipient risk management of projects managed by agile approaches, as well as the existence of few studies involving these constructs.Methodology: The methodological approach used in this study was quantitative and the validation through an online survey-type questionary, with the application of structural equation modeling. Originality: Risk management and agile approaches have influenced positively the result of the projects, increasing the interest of the most stakeholders in the field of project management. However, the relationship between these constructs has not been deeply explored in the literature specialized in project management.Main results: The statistical tests results confirmed the influence of risk management in the success of projects managed by agile approaches, as well as confirmed that from a certain level of complexity, projects require a more robust and effective risk management activities.Theoretical contributions: In addition to practical contributions to organizations, the results of this study provided new possibilities for studies in the social sciences field, as well as strengthening the relationship between risk management and project success.
