摘要
The traditional model of tourism has long been conceived primarily from an economic standpoint. However, due to the impacts generated by tourism activities, new modalities have recently emerged, placing the focus of the experience not only on economic aspects but also on other factors capable of fostering development. This article presents the results of research on the importance of training professionals in the field of tourism to ensure the implementation of balanced activities that respect and preserve the environment in tourist destinations. From a professional perspective, individuals involved in tourism bear responsibility for the continuity of this activity. The objective was to understand how the training process of tourism professionals influences the development of conscious tourism, establishing connections between the underlying concepts. The qualitative study allowed for the translation of these concepts and outlined the role of tourism professionals in both environmental preservation and the sustainability of the activity itself.
