摘要
This is a quantitative, correlational-comparative and cross-sectional study that aimed to determine the relationship between the dimensions of the variable's ambivalent sexism and modern homophobia in 384 young people from the Arequipa-Peru province during the year 2020. Likewise, the predominant types of ambivalent sexism and modern homophobia were determined; Comparisons were made by sex of the prevailing levels of ambivalent sexism and modern homophobia. The Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (ASI) and the Modern Homophobia Scale (MHS) were applied.Direct and inverse correlations whose values ranged between r =-.309 and r = .340 were obtained when relating the dimensions of the variables studied using Spearman's correlation coefficient. Ambivalent sexism was predominant; Men had higher levels of ambivalent sexism; Deviation / change towards gay men was the predominant type of modern homophobia in both sexes, no significant differences were found according to sex; Deviance / changeability towards lesbians was the predominant type of modern homophobia in both sexes, with women who tended to have higher levels of this type of homophobia.
