摘要
Death in the emergency medical services can lead to different courses of action in different scenarios. If the death occurs in the home environment, a primary distinction must be made between a natural and a non-natural death. In some federal states, the emergency physician can limit himself to a preliminary post-mortem external examination. In the case of a lifeless person in public, where resuscitation has often been started by emergency witnesses or rescue personnel, the emergency physician decides on the further procedure: termination or continuation of resuscitation. In the case of death during the transport, the body can be handed over to the clinic as a dead admission. For the future, the funeral law of the federal states should take into account the special aspects of the emergency medical service.
