摘要
This piece aims to review the role of interpragmatic competence in the foreign language classroom. For this, the role of interpragmatic competence in the development of communicative competence, the role of pragmatic competence concerning motivation, the instruction of interpragmatic competence in the foreign language classroom, and the attitudes of teachers towards interpragmatic competence are considered. We conclude with the importance of strengthening the development of interpragmatic competence in the foreign language classroom, and, in addition, we give some suggestions on the development of interpragmatic competence in the L2 classroom.
