Series and the LGBTQ+ Community in the Spanish as a Foreign Language Classroom: A Didactic Proposal Through Contemporary Historical Series

摘要
This article deals with the reflection of a methodological proposal in the Spanish as a foreign language classroom (ELE). We present the inclusion of the gender perspective and sexual diversity in the classroom using historical series that deal with this subject and are contextualized in a specific historical period: Spain between the wars and the Franco dictatorship. The aim of the article is to present the benefits of the use of these audiovisual media in the classroom, as well as to present a way of application for a specific purpose, allowing the development of linguistic competences while addressing a subject of urgent need.
