摘要：

Significant bone loss at the level of the ankle joint is a devastating and painful condition, which can greatly limit a patient's functional capacity. When conservative measures have been exhausted, surgery is an option. Operative treatment of these deformities is not only technically challenging but also the outcomes have been shown to be less predictable compared with surgical treatment of other conditions in the foot and ankle.
