摘要
High-speed Oscilloscope analyzer (HOA) based on USB 3.0 has the advantages of multi-function, small size and easy portability, which can better meet the comprehensive test requirements of complex waveform generation and capture in outfield or narrow environments. However, due to the improvement of performance index, the hardware circuit design of HOA tends to be more complex, which leads to a sharp increase of system power consumption and a vast limitation for their portable applications. In this paper, an intelligent-match based dynamic management method is proposed to optimize the power consumption of the HOA hardware design and improve its operation efficiency. The designed HOA has 6.4GSPS sampling rate, 12bits resolution, 2GHz analog bandwidth and an arbitrary waveform generation (AWG) with a maximum output frequency of 100MHz. To be specific, this method divides the hardware into multiple controllable hierarchy modules according to the HOA functional requirements, then dynamically adjusts the working switch configuration of each module to match the actual operation request intelligently. The overall power consumption is designed to be in the optimal trade-off state between power consumption and performance for several typical system working modes. The test results show that the proposed method can implement an effective power optimization in three typical working modes: basic sampling, AWG, and full function, with a maximum power consumption saving of 59.3%. It can provide a viable reference for the design of miniaturised and low-power electronic measurement instruments.
