摘要
Buildings consume approximately 35% of global energy consumption and result in 38% of global carbon emissions. The emerging technology of photovoltaic double skin facade facades shows great promise in building energy savings for both building suppliers and end-users. This review summarizes prior parameter analyses and performance studies aiming to establish a foundation for the design and operation of user-oriented photovoltaic double skin facades. This review begins with a brief introduction to the working principles, regulation details, and evaluation schemes of photovoltaic double skin facades. Subsequently, this review concentrates on the static regulation of photovoltaic double skin facades, aiming to enhance energy-saving performance and improve the thermal/visual environment. Additionally, the dynamic regulation is also reviewed, exploring various patterns of utilizing hot airflow introduced to develop a more efficient regulation scheme. As a result, this review work concludes with brief recommendations on determining static regulation factors and offers key perspectives on optimizing dynamic regulation schemes. By presenting this comprehensive review, this work may facilitate the development and optimization of photovoltaic double skin facade.
