摘要
This research has been conducted on BaCo0.4Fe0.4Y0.2-xAxO3-delta, which is doped by different metal elements of Zr, Mg, and Zn. The prime concern of this study is to observe the oxygen permeability, corresponding to mixed ionicelectronic conductivities of the prepared samples. Synchrotron x-ray powder diffraction explorations confirmed that all prepared compositions belong to the perovskite structure with impurity-free cubic phase. All the samples express thermal stability. The raising of total conductivity of all the studied compositions shows relative relation to the change of temperature, where doped samples have higher values than undoped ones. This study found that Mg and Zn doping improve oxygen permeability in comparison to BaCo0.4Fe0.4Y0.1Zr0.1O3-delta (BCFZY) because of the higher oxygen non-stoichiometry in addition to the low average binding energy. The high oxygen permeability of Mg and Zn doped samples indicates potentiality as a cathode of solid oxide fuel cells.
