摘要
This paper presents optimization-based control strategies to achieve efficient, highly dynamic, and safe operation of pumped storage power plants. The tasks considered are dynamic operation with a model predictive control strategy, optimal steering calculation for an emergency shutdown, and operational optimization on the energy market. The results show that optimization-based strategies play an important role in the operation of pumped storage power plants, in particular for plants containing different generator types.
