摘要
Objective. To conduct an analysis of the scientific production on the category education for the future. Methodology. For this purpose, the laws of bibliometrics were used as a methodology to identify countries, authors and institutions that have published research related to the topic. Results. There is interest in this category of studies for the future, but even so, most of the studies are concentrated in Anglo-Saxon and European literature, with Latin America lagging behind in academic production. Discussion. It is evident that the pandemic awakened interest in the question "How are we educating? And from this, there is an interest in retaking this category as a guiding axis of the actors, discourses and strategies that intervene in the education sector. Conclusions. Studies for the future are a key category in education research, but case studies that complement the proliferation of scientific production in Anglo-Saxon and European literature should be expanded. Originality. This work contributes to the field of knowledge because it delves into the studies of a category that arises from the need to transform educational practices and meet the sociocultural, economic and political challenges in post-pandemic times.
