摘要
We here study the effects of stochastic resetting and roughness on the transport and diffusion of an inertial Brownian particle moving in a biased and rough periodic potential in a Gaussian environment. It is found that the increase of the stochastic resetting leads to the appearance of ratchet effect first and it then disappears. This is therefore a reentrance phenomenon. The results also show that roughness and noise weaken ratchet effect, but do not lead to it. The velocity probability distribution is used to interpret the underlying mechanisms, revealing that stochastic resetting breaks the certain symmetry of the system. We also study diffusion showing that with time evolution, the system undergoes subdiffusion first, then superdiffusion, and normal diffusion finally. Moreover, stochastic resetting enhances diffusion, whereas roughness weakens it. Our results provide a valuable way of tuning transport and diffusion of Brownian particle by manipulating stochastic resetting and roughness. This may have wide potential applications in many fields, such as biology, physics, and chemistry.
