Pembrolizumab ist ein humanisierter monoklonaler Antikorper aus der Gruppe der Immuncheckpoint-Inhibitoren und wird bei Krebserkrankungen eingesetzt. O'Brien et al. wollten wissen, ob Pembrolizumab bei Patientinnen/Patienten mit nicht-kleinzelligem Bronchialkarzinom (NSCLC) das progressionsfreie uberleben verbessern kann, und haben eine Phase-III-Studie durchgefuhrt. Obgleich der Antikorper wirkte, kam es zu todlichen Nebenwirkungen.
