摘要
This article explores the experience of the Progressive Social Movement (PSM), a case little studied by history and political sociology research in Peru. The PSM emerged in the mid -twentieth century in Peru, in a context of crisis of the oligarchic state. Through its proposal to forge an integral democracy from a socialist position, the PSM proposed an alternative solution to the crisis of that period. Based on the contributions of Eliseo Veron and Ernesto Laclau, we use the methodology of political discourse analysis, focusing on the recipient of the social-progressive enunciation, its main components and its structuring nodes. For this purpose, a review of hemerographic sources is carried out. We argue that the experience of the PSM allows us to analyze the testing of new meanings of three key concepts of modern politics to respond to crisis situations: democracy, socialism and revolution.
