摘要
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies, with a significant increase in hereditary cases in recent years. The second most common cause of hereditary CRC is familial adenomatous polyposis, an obligate precancerous condition. The most rational therapeutic approach is prophylactic laparoscopic proctocolectomy with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (IPAA) in young adulthood. With the increasing establishment of robotic procedures, the question arises as to whether the advantages of robotic operations, such as simplified operations and better visualisation in confined spaces, can be useful, especially in prophylactic proctocolectomy. The problem, however, is the need to operate in all four quadrants of the abdomen, which can be a limiting factor in robotic interventions. The aim of this work is therefore to demonstrate the feasibility of robotically assisted proctocolectomy with IPAA and to give tips for its application in clinical practice.
