摘要
Wave and current-induced seabed liquefaction around marine structures is one of the important causes leading to the structural instability. This paper conducts a literature review on the most recent research progress on the seabed liquefaction in the vicinity of the marine structures under the combined wave and current loading. Two main research approaches adopted in the mechanisms of the wave/current-induced seabed responses are first described. Then, two available liquefaction mechanisms and criteria are discussed in detail to better understand the soil behaviour around the marine structures. The development of the wave and current-induced seabed liquefaction around the marine structures, such as breakwaters, pipelines, pile, jacket foundations and other structures, is then presented. Furthermore, recently developed protection measures for structures and their surrounding seabed are summarized, which could have potential application to offshore structure protection in practical engineering. Finally, several future perspectives on the wave-current induced seabed liquefaction around the marine structures are suggested.
