摘要
In situ infrared spectroscopy is a powerful tool to obtain molecular-level information of local environments and reaction mechanisms in solid-liquid electrochemical interfaces. The information gained by this technique can facilitate the rational design of more efficient electrocatalysts and electrochemical systems. In this minireview, two selected applications of in situ infrared spectroscopy in studying CO2 reduction reaction are presented, including the elucidations of the role of cations and the catalyst structure/composition-performance relationship. Some opinions on the future development of this technique are also provided.
