摘要
The Catholic Church was an actor that maintained a relationship of cooperation and conflict with the last civil-military dictatorship in Argentina (19761983). Although the Ecclesiastical hierarchy supported the regime based on a historical experience that had benefited the army-religion tandem, there were dissenting voices that were repressed and supported the emerging Human Rights movements. Three positions of the Church can be established before the dictatorship: the collaborationist, the dissident and the neutral. In order to see the main characteristics of this relationship and its evolution, an analysis of the content of documents will be carried out, taking into account legislation and news from both the army and the Catholic Church, as well as testimonies collected by the author in Argentina.
