摘要
The objective of this study was to evaluate the physiological performance of corn seeds treated with two sources of molybdenum, using germination tests, germination speed index, emergence, emergence speed index, length of radicule, dry mass and lengths of the areas and roots of the seedlings. The tested treatments consisted of variations (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200%) of the recommended doses of two commercial molybdenum products (Teprosyn & REG; and Molytrac & REG;, with recommended doses of 0.84 and 3.33 ml respectively). It can be concluded that the physiological quality of Santa Helena 5560 hybrid corn seeds has a negative influence due to high doses of molybdenum. The application of the product Molytrac & REG; is not recommended in the doses tested via seed treatment as it negatively affects the physiological quality of the seeds, requiring further tests with lower doses to evaluate the product's effectiveness. The use of the Teprosyn & REG; product as a source of molybdenum, with 50% of the dose recommended by the manufacturer, had positive effects on the physiological quality of the seeds, so its use can be indicated to supply deficiencies in the culture of corn.
