摘要
Unmanned ease of use and the many advantages it provides are rapidly increasing the use of UAVs for military, civilian (hobby, commercial) and scientific purposes. The use of UAVs, which do not have a pilot and passenger inside and only carry equipment suitable for the purpose, is becoming increasingly widespread in geomorphology studies as in many other fields. The use of UAVs is not limited to photographing the land from various angles from the air. Thanks to the developing UAV technology, mapping, cinematography, orthophoto and digital elevation model (DEM) production and 3D modeling are among the scientific uses of these aerial vehicles. In this study, it is tried to explain how 3D modeling of the Tooth Rocks, which is approximately 4.7 km long, can be done using UAVs with a sample application. During the study, a UAV flight was performed for 3 hours and 20 minutes and a total of 2,996 coordinated and overlapping photographs were taken. After these photographs were processed through a series of processes, high resolution orthophoto, DEM and 3D images of the Tooth Rocks were obtained. As a result of the study, it was determined that the use of UAVs in the field of geomorphology allows for a more detailed examination of some details.
