摘要
The aim of this study was to analyze the association between lifestyle and socioeconomic level with the sporting performance of amateur volleyball athletes. The study included 216 athletes who answered the Fantastic Questionnaire - Lifestyle and the Socioeconomic Level Questionnaire ( ABEP, 2021). Descriptive statistical analysis (mean and standard deviation) and Student's t test were used for data analysis to compare medalists and non-medalists. Simple logistic regression analysis was performed to verify the association between lifestyle and socioeconomic level with the final performance of amateur athletes. The results indicated that lifestyle domains that showed significant differences between medalists and non-medalists were the level of physical activity, quality of nutrition, tobacco use, alcohol use, in addition to the general classification of lifestyle. The medalist athletes had a higher lifestyle and socioeconomic level than the non-medalists. It is concluded that medalist amateur athletes were described as having a better lifestyle and socioeconomic level compared to non- medalists, but only lifestyle was a predictor of the final performance of athletes in the amateur volleyball league.
