摘要
In underwater wireless optical communications (UWOC), absorption and multiple scattering may cause beam dispersion in both time and space domains and degrade the received intensity. The spatial characteristics of UWOC links have not been studied extensively, especially in multiple-source scenario. In this paper, we consider two kinds of light sources link geometries, i.e., linear array and circular array, and propose a weighted double exponential polynomial (WDEP) to model the irradiance distribution of general multiple-source UWOC links with arbitrary numbers of light sources. Numerical results suggest that the proposed WDEP model fits well with the results of Monte Carlo simulations in turbid water environment.
