Synthesis of Ag-Pt bimetallic functionalized ?-Fe2O3 for rapid triethylamine detection at low temperature

摘要
Noble metal sensitization is an effective method to improve the properties of metal oxide semiconductor based gas sensors. Herein, a novel Ag-Pt bimetallic functionalized alpha-Fe2O3 was synthesized by calcination of carbon microsphere templates loaded with Fe, Ag and Pt. The sample Ag-Pt/alpha-Fe2O3 showed a very fast response (2.5 s) and extremely large response (926) in 125 degrees C for 100 ppm triethylamine (TEA) vapor. The synergistic effect of electron sensitization and chemical sensitization generated by Ag and Pt greatly enhanced the TEA sensing performance of alpha-Fe2O3. This article provides an important strategy for synthesizing and improving alpha-Fe2O3 based TEA sensors.
