Graphene is widely used in lithium-ion batteries due to its good electrical conductivity. Generally, graphene is added to lithium-ion batteries in the form of powder directly or by dispersing the powder in a solution before adding it. This paper proposes a one-pot method to prepare graphite anode electrode slurry. The graphite and binder are put into the NMP(N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone) solution. Then the mixed solution is stirred at high speed to prepare the electrode slurry. This method is characterized by the integration of the graphene preparation with the electrode slurry preparation process. The capacity of graphite anode materials prepared using the one-pot method without adding acetylene black conductive agent after cycling and stabilization is comparable to that of graphite electrodes with 10 % acetylene black conductive agent added by the conventional process. When 5 % acetylene black was added to the electrodes prepared by the one-pot method, the initial capacity of graphite electrodes was increased by 31.8 % compared with that of graphite electrodes with 10 % conductive agent added by the conventional process, and the capacity was increased by 12.5 % after cycle stabilization. The one-pot method used 50 % less acetylene black than the traditional process and made graphite electrodes with better electrochemical charging, discharging, and rate performance.
