摘要
The association between hyperactivity, prosocial behavior, and peer problems among adolescents is less well known, especially in the Vietnamese context. Using the structural equation, this study aims to investigate the mediating effect of prosocial behavior on the hyperactivity-friendship problem relationship among Vietnamese adolescents. 822 adolescents from grades 6 to 9 in secondary schools in the three provinces of Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, and Kom Tum became participants in this study. The statistical analysis and hypothesis testing were done using SPSS 20 and Amos 20 software. The results revealed that hyperactivity was positively associated with friend problems and that this relationship was mediated in part by prosocial behavior. The development of interventions to shield adolescents against mental disorders may be affected by these findings.
