High-temperature oxidation behaviour of Ti65 titanium alloy fabricated by laser direct energy deposition

摘要
The study investigated the high -temperature oxidation behaviour of Ti65 titanium alloy fabricated by laser direct energy deposition (LDED). Results showed that the formation of multiple oxide layers (OL) better protected the matrix at 650 degrees C, 750 degrees C, and 850 degrees C. The oxidation resistance improved with an activation energy of 282 +/- 1.4 kJ & sdot;mol- 1. A mathematical model to predict the relationship of oxidation was established through temperaturecompensated time parameters, and it accurately predicted the oxidation mass gain and oxygen dissolution zone (ODZ) thickness. Ultimately, the mechanism of high -temperature oxidation resistance has been methodically elucidated.
