: modern Russian constitutionalism has specificity determined by Russian history, philosophy, law, in which European and Eastern traditions were transformed, creating a sovereign Russian statehood over many centuries. The study of its modern model is updated by the process of adoption of constitutional amendments that formed new institutions and gave a different meaning to previously existing ones. This predetermines interest in the study of the legal foundations of domestic constitutionalism, contextually connected with philosophical conceptual ideas of understanding law as a significant value. Target: formation of a new element of the paradigm of constitutionally significant values ?? the sacred/profane system. Objectives: study the formation of sacred values ??and their reflection in constitutional documents and legal science. Methods : historical-legal and formal-legal. Results : substantiation of the importance of efforts to strengthen sacred values ??for strengthening Russian statehood. Conclusions : the projection of the social system sacred/profane into law has not yet been studied.
