PRACTICE TEACHING IN CHINESE APPLICATION-ORIENTED UNIVERSITIES: CURRENT STATUS AND INFLUENCING FACTORS

摘要
In order to deeply understand and grasp the current situation, prob-lems and influencing factors of practice teaching in business majors in Chinese application-oriented universities, this paper conducted a survey with a sample of business majors in 10 applied universities through interview method and ques-tionnaire survey method. Factor analysis was conducted to analyze the factors affecting practice teaching in business programs in application-oriented universi-ties, including universities, teachers, students, and enterprises. It was found that practice teaching in some universities has insufficient credits and hours; teachers' practical ability and professional skills need to be improved, and enterprises are moderately or poorly involved in practice teaching. Moreover, in the survey on the constraints of practice teaching, more than half of the college students chose the option of few opportunities provided by society. For this reason, universities should establish incentive mechanisms for laboratory teachers and improve the quality evaluation system of practice teaching and the long-term mechanism of university-enterprise cooperation. This study not only provides some theoreti-cal guidance for the running practice of new applied universities, but also helps deepen and enrich higher education thinking, guide new application-oriented uni-versities to innovate their schooling concepts and characteristics, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of them.
