摘要
HTS flux pump is a contactless charging method for superconducting magnets, which can reduce the cryogenic losses associated with current leads. Rotating permanent magnets-based flux pump is a promising charging option for charging HTS magnets, which is easy to operate. For this type of flux pump, the design of the rotor is important, which has a great impact on the output capability. In this study, different stator designs have been analyzed and compared. We found that paralleling more stator tapes with appropriate gaps can be a promising design strategy to maximize the output capability for the HTS rotating permanent magnets-based flux pump.
