摘要
The increase in environmental factors in the health-disease process requires more critical views, which must be based on an essential consensus to prepare the medical student through competencies to fulfill the commitment made to himself, the individual, the family, and society and the environment. The research presented, from the use of theoretical, historical-logical, induction-deduction, analysis-synthesis, level methods, is aimed at characterizing the epistemological foundations of the formation of the environmental responsibility competence in students of medicine from education at work. The results are specified in the identification of the limitations in the formation of the referred competence, a conceptual approach is offered in this regard in correspondence with the challenges, relevance, as well as the theoretical supports that favor said process. This organizational form of teaching is reaffirmed as the ideal transversal axis for the environmental training of the medical student and the environmental responsibility competence.
