摘要
As an alternativeto raw wood, processed timber can helpreducecosts and environmental damage while meeting the needs of variousfields that require building materials possessing the sensibilityof raw timber. Veneer wood is positioned as a high-value-added productowing to its elegance and beauty, and it is used in various building-relatedfields, such as interior decoration, furniture, flooring, buildinginterior materials, and lumber. Dyeing is necessary to enhance itsesthetic appearance and expand its use. In this study, we comparedand analyzed the dyeability of ash-patterned materials using aciddyes and evaluated their performance as interior materials. The ash-patternedmaterial was dyed using three types of acid dyes, and a comparativeanalysis was performed. The most suitable dyeing conditions were 80 degrees C, 3 h, and 3% o.w.f. Furthermore, the effect of pretreatmentbefore the dyeing process, the effect of methyl alcohol solvent duringdyeing with acid dyes, and the dyeability of veneers dyed under varioustemperature and time conditions were also compared and analyzed. Resilienceto daylight, resilience to rubbing, fire resistance, and flame retardanceof the selected material were evaluated as being suitable for useas a building material for interiors.
