The premises of the new brazilian housing policy

The goal of this article is to analyze the legal regulatory draft of the Federal Government's new housing policy, called Green and Yellow House Program. Based on documentary research, the methodology and data published by the Joao Pinheiro Foundation are approached based on the National Survey of Household Samples of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics is relative to the housing deficit and inadequate housing in Brazil between 2007 and 2019. The weaknesses and distortions of the My House, My Life Program and the commitments signed by the country with the United Nations, to establish the criteria for analyzing the new public policy are identified. We conclude by highlighting its main features and innovations but emphasizing the need to monitor its implementation to achieve the intended results.
