In this paper,the author proves the following result:Let Ea,k（N）denote the number of natural numbers n≤N for which equationis insoluble in positive integers xi（i=0,1,…,k）.ThenEa,k（N）N exp{-C（log N）1-（1/（1/k+1））}where the implied constant depends on a and k.
