Purpose: to evaluate the influence of cataract surgery and the influence of intraocular lens (IOL) material implanted on retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL),as measured by scanning laser po-larimetry (SLP). Methods: Seventhy eyes of 70 consecutive patients (34 male and 36 female, mean age 73.2±6.31) operated on by phacoemulsification with IOL insertion, were examined by
