摘要：
Zhangye City in northwest Gansu Province was a pivotal trading center midway along the Hexi Corridor on the ancient Silk Road. Along with other cities in central and western China, it can now expect a thoroughgoing renewal due to the new development opportunities engendered by the Chinese government’s recent launch of the Belt and the Road Initiative.
