摘要：
Although China’s core interests in the Middle East are economic, these are interwoven with its other interests including those in the areas of politics, strategy, security and overseas interests. Because of the significant gap between its interests and its influence, China should adopt a new strategy in the Middle East, one that is different from those that other powers have employed in the region.
