学习空间是指用于学习的场所,它蕴含着学习可以发生在任意场所、学习空间包括物理空间和虚拟空间、以建构主义等主流学习理论以及学习科学为关照理论、需要借助信息技术的增强、其最终目标是为了促进学习者的学习等丰富隐喻。实践方面,目前国际上主要有五个典型的学习空间项目,分别是SCALE-UP项目、TEAL项目、TILE项目、改造大学学习空间项目、未来课堂项目。这些实践项目主要聚焦于对家具的设计,注重发挥信息技术的作用,强调学习空间应包括灵活的布局、圆形课桌、多屏空间、信息共享等功能特征。研究方面,当前学习空间的研究尚处于初期阶段,相关学术研究文献的数量较少、质量较低,一些学习空间设计的理论依据缺乏科学性,严谨的实证研究也比较匮乏。未来高校和研究机构应组建跨学科的研究团队,进一步拓展研究领域,加强领域内外的交流和合作,共同推进学习空间的基础理论研究和实践。
