摘要：
1.Correct management of the third stage of labour is of the ut-most importance.2.Premature attempts at expression of the placenta before it hasseparated predispose to post-partum haemorrhage.The medical attend-ant should remain with the mother for at least half an hour after de-livery of the placenta.3.Besides other drugs the doctor should have with him ergome-trine,amyl nitrite and ephedrine.A 200 cc ear syringe for cord injec-tion and a sterile ampoule (500 cc) of Tutofusin for intravenous in-fusion Should be included with his instruments.
