The Development of China's Certification and Accreditution System

China’s performance in the global economiccrisis has attracted the world’s attention. People arelooking to China, eager to learn about the managementlevel of Chinese government and enterprises,as well as product quality. In these matters, Chinadraws on the generally adopted worldwide practicein quality evaluation: the certification and accreditationsystem. This system simultaneously extendsthe basic national technical platform for externaltrade. Using the China Quality Mark CertificationGroup (CQM) as an example, this paper will introduceChina’s certification and accreditation system,and the development and operation of China’s certificationbody.
