摘要
In the pursuit of sustainable energy solutions, the transition towards hydrogen mobility stands as a promising avenue, with green hydrogen emerging as a key component. Green hydrogen, produced through the electrolysis of water using renewable energy sources, holds the potential to revolutionize transportation by offering a clean and efficient alternative to conventional fuels. To realize this vision, the integration of renewable energy systems for green hydrogen generation is paramount. The objective of this research work is to evaluate the potential of a stand-alone photovoltaic (PV)-wind hybrid renewable systems (HRES) for large-scale green hydrogen production in different climate conditions. Specifically, a 100 MW HRES connected to a 24 MW electrolyzer system with hydrogen storage tanks is considered. Among various possible purposes, the produced hydrogen is used for refilling automobile tanks, namely hydrogen-powered vehicles. To accommodate this, the hydrogen storage system is sized to cater to the largest possible number of vehicles in different considered climate conditions.
