摘要
A liquid dielectric resonator antenna is proposed to improve the polarization diversity for Wi-Fi applications at 2.45 GHz taking the advantage of fluidic behavior of the liquids. A combination of conventional and a novel feeding mechanism in terms of extended copper lines with vertical dielectric wall support is proposed to realize five polarization-independent modes of the HEM mode family. The liquid antenna exhibited good MIMO characteristics and decent far-field characteristics with the overall antenna profile being less than 0.24 lambda(0).
