摘要
A low-scattering patch phased array antenna under oblique incident waves is proposed in this paper. The backed metal ground for patch elements is designed to be grooved. Thus, reflection phase differences can be obtained on the array aperture, leading to notable monostatic scattering cross section reduction (SCSR). To obtain larger SCSR, array scattering statuses under oblique incident waves of various incident angles are studied. The proposed patch array antenna achieves +/- 60 degrees/+/- 45 degrees scanning in E/H planes within 10.2 similar to 10.6 GHz, and a significant monostatic SCSR in X band under oblique incident waves is obtained. This work provides a valuable guidance for engineering applications.
