This study analyzed syllabi (n = 44) and faculty interviews (n = 10) to investigate ethics education in higher education student affairs (HESA) programs. Five types of ethics instruction emerged: foundation, reflection, application, dialogue, and ethos. Syllabi emphasized the first three types, while faculty stressed dialogue and ethos. Recommendations include integrating dialogue and ethos into HESA curricula and collaborating with professional associations. Future research should explore culturally relevant pedagogies and long-term impacts on practice.
