摘要
This cross-sectional study investigated the Food insecurity (FI) levels and their association with body composition, anemic status and cognitive performance among 150 students of KNUST in Ghana. About 42.4%, 28.5% and 12.5% of the participants were severely, moderately and mildly food insecure respectively. About 16.7% and 8.3% of them were mildly and moderately anemic respectively, whilst 14.6%, 16.0% and 5.6% were underweight, overweight and obese respectively. Significant predictors of food insecurity were communal eating (OR = 0.351, p = .054), level of education (p < .001), and religion (p = .038). Intervention strategies to alleviate food insecurity among students should be explored.
